FDA애서 Nonproprietary Naming of Biological Products 에 관한 가이드라인을 발행하였습니다.
해당 가이드라인 Glossary에 살펴보면 Nonproprietary Name 은 "means a name unprotected by trademark rights that is in the public domain. It may be used by the public at large, both lay and professional." 이라고 합니다.
